Soft-boiled eggs/Oeufs á la coque
Hey everyone
This is my first blog post, for my chosen topic I have decided to show different ways in which we can turn an egg (or more) into a meal.
As we all know, eggs are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet as they are rich in protein, in addition to this, they are also relatively cheap and affordable. This makes it an ideal option for students as all the recipes that I am going to show are both healthy and not time consuming at all!
Today I am going to illustrate how to make a soft-boiled egg, which is ideal for breakfast as it is not time consuming and it is easy to make.

Ingredients:
- One egg
- A slice of bread
- A pinch of salt and pepper
- Cherry tomato (optional)
- Two leaves of basil (optional)
Directions
- Boil the water in a saucepan
- When it boils, take the egg and, with the help of a spoon, place it in the bottom of the pot of boiling water
- Wait 2/3 mins depending on whether you want the yolk in either liquid form or slightly denser
- While waiting, toast the bread and cut it into slices
- Remove the egg from the water and put it under cold water
- Place the egg in a small cup and remove the lid on top, with the help of a knife tap
- Add a pinch of salt and pepper and taste it with slices of bread!
Enjoy your egg and see you next time!
